Modular Kitchen Cost in Pune: A Pune Owner's Guide

Modular kitchen cost in Pune — per running foot rates for budget, mid and premium specification, countertop choices, and what adds cost later.

Updated 15 October 2026

Figures are indicative 2026 ranges from our own Pune project pricing. They are not a quotation — a real number is tied to a drawing and a material list.

Modular kitchen pricing in Pune is quoted per running foot of cabinetry, and the spread between the cheapest and the best quote for the same layout is usually 2.5 times.

Most of that spread is not profit — it is carcass material, hardware brand and what is inside the drawers.

Cost per running foot

A well-specified modular kitchen lands between ₹2,200 and ₹4,500 per running foot in 2026, with hardware and internals adding 15 to 25 percent on top. An 8-foot L-shaped kitchen therefore runs roughly ₹1.8 lakh to ₹3.6 lakh before appliances.

  • Budget (HDF carcass, laminate, unbranded hardware): ₹1,600–₹2,200/rft
  • Mid (MR plywood, laminate, branded soft-close): ₹2,200–₹3,200/rft
  • Premium (acrylic or PU shutters, imported hardware): ₹3,200–₹4,500/rft

What is inside the price

Carcass material and thickness, shutter finish, hinge and channel brand, drawer internals, tall units, countertop material and the number of pull-outs all move the number. A quote that specifies 'soft-close hinges' without a brand has specified nothing.

Countertop choice

Quartz and granite run ₹300 to ₹900 per square foot installed. Quartz is more consistent and less porous; granite is cheaper and handles a hot vessel better. Both need a proper edge detail and a cut-out priced separately.

What adds cost later

Chimney and duct routing, additional electrical points, a change in countertop after templating, and appliance sizes that arrive after the carcass is built. We collect appliance specifications before drawing the internals.

Common questions

How much does a modular kitchen cost in Pune?
Indicatively ₹1.8 lakh to ₹3.6 lakh for an 8-foot L-shaped kitchen at mid-specification in 2026, excluding appliances and chimney. Larger islands and premium shutters push this higher.
Is plywood worth the extra cost over HDF?
In a kitchen that sees daily Indian cooking and moisture, yes. In a lightly used kitchen with good ventilation, HDF with sealed edges performs acceptably and costs 20 to 30 percent less.
How long does a modular kitchen take?
Four to six weeks from final measurement to installation, plus two to three weeks for design and material approval. Stone templating adds about a week after the carcass is installed.
