Retail and hospitality interior design in Pune

Customer flow, dwell time and the first three metres — designed for revenue, not just looks.

In retail and hospitality the interior is the sales floor. Sightlines, what a customer meets in the first three metres inside the door, how long they can comfortably queue and whether a table turns in forty minutes are all design decisions with revenue attached.

We design cafes, restaurants, salons, clinics and showrooms across Pune, working alongside the kitchen and equipment consultants these projects always need.

Flow and the first three metres

A customer decides whether to stay within a few steps of entering. We plan the decompression zone so the door swing does not collide with a display, place the anchor element where it is visible from the street, and make the path to the counter or the seating obvious without signage.

Lighting that does the selling

Retail lighting runs at a different level from restaurant lighting. Product zones need high colour rendering and tight beam control; dining needs warm, dimmable layers at 200 to 300 lux with accent spots on the table. One scheme for both jobs fails at both.

Materials rated for commercial traffic

A finish that survives a living room will not survive a restaurant. We specify commercial-grade flooring, wipeable wall finishes and seating fabric with a rub count appropriate to daily use. Kitchen and service areas are designed for wash-down, not for photographs.

Compliance inside the design

Fire exits, extinguisher placement, accessible clearances and the kitchen exhaust route are designed into the layout rather than retrofitted for an inspection. We coordinate with the kitchen equipment vendor early, because a changed exhaust route can invalidate a ceiling design.

Common questions

How much does restaurant interior design cost in Pune?
Indicative fit-out cost for a Pune cafe or restaurant runs ₹1,800 to ₹4,000 per square foot, excluding kitchen equipment, licensing and branding. Seating density, custom joinery and commercial-grade finishes drive the difference.
Do you coordinate with kitchen equipment suppliers?
Yes, and we prefer to start early. The exhaust route, gas line, floor drain positions and equipment footprint constrain the ceiling and seating layout, so the sooner the vendor is involved, the fewer changes later.
Can you design a format that repeats across locations?
Yes. We produce a kit-of-parts design with a fixture schedule and detailing that a second site can follow, which keeps brand consistency while allowing for different shell dimensions.
